FAQ

We’ve compiled answers to the most common questions about our tours, booking process, and travel in Morocco to help you plan your perfect adventure.

1.  Booking & Planning Your Tour

  • How far in advance should I book my Morocco tour?

    • We recommend booking at least 2-3 months in advance, especially if your travel dates fall during peak seasons (Spring: March-May, and Autumn: September-November) or if you require specific, high-demand accommodations like luxury desert camps. For customized or longer tours, earlier is always better.

  • What is included in the tour price?

    • The inclusions vary depending on the specific tour, but typically cover: private, air-conditioned transportation with a professional driver, accommodation (Riads, hotels, desert camps) as specified, daily breakfast, local guides in major cities (Marrakech, Fes), and camel treks/4×4 transfers in the Sahara.

  • What is not included in the tour price?

    • Generally, the price excludes: international flights, travel insurance, lunches and dinners (unless specified as included), entrance fees to museums/attractions, tips for guides/drivers, and personal expenses.

  • Can I customize an existing tour itinerary?

    • Absolutely! All of our tours are fully customizable. We specialize in tailoring itineraries to your interests, budget, and travel pace. Just let us know your preferences (cities, duration, activities, accommodation level), and we will create a unique itinerary for you.

  • What are your payment and cancellation policies?

    • Our standard policy requires a deposit (usually 25-30% of the total price) to confirm the booking. The remaining balance is typically due upon arrival in Morocco. Cancellation terms are outlined in our Terms & Conditions, but generally, the closer to the start date you cancel, the higher the fee. Specific details will be provided at the time of booking.

2.  General Travel in Morocco

  • Do I need a visa to travel to Morocco?

    • Visa requirements depend on your nationality. Many countries (including the EU, UK, US, Canada, Australia) do not require a visa for stays up to 90 days. Please check the official Moroccan embassy website in your country well before your travel date.

  • What is the best currency to use?

    • The local currency is the Moroccan Dirham (MAD). While Euros are often accepted in major tourist areas (sometimes US Dollars), it’s best to pay in MAD. You can easily exchange cash or withdraw Dirhams from ATMs at the airport and in major cities.

  • Is tipping customary in Morocco?

    • Yes, tipping is customary and appreciated for good service.

      • Restaurants: 10-15% is common.

      • Local Guides: $10-$20 USD equivalent per day.

      • Your Driver: The amount varies based on the duration of the tour, but a good rule of thumb is $20-$50 USD equivalent per day from the entire group.

  • What should I wear during my visit?

    • Morocco is generally a moderate Muslim country. We recommend modest clothing out of respect for local customs, especially when visiting religious sites. Loose-fitting trousers, skirts below the knee, and shirts that cover the shoulders and upper arms are best for both cultural sensitivity and comfort in the heat.

3.  Logistics & Safety

  • How do we get around Morocco during the tour?

    • We utilize a fleet of modern, private, air-conditioned 4×4 vehicles or minivans suitable for your group size. All vehicles are driven by experienced, licensed, and professional drivers who speak English (and often French/Spanish).

  • Is Morocco safe for tourists, especially solo female travelers?

    • Morocco is a very safe country for tourists. We prioritize your well-being. Our drivers and guides are trained professionals who ensure a safe environment. While petty crime can occur (like in any major city), following common-sense precautions and staying with your guide/driver will minimize any risks.

  • What is the accommodation like (Riads, Hotels, Desert Camps)?

    • Riads: Traditional Moroccan homes built around a central courtyard, offering an intimate and authentic experience.

    • Hotels: We select comfortable, highly-rated 4- or 5-star hotels, depending on your chosen accommodation level.

    • Desert Camps: Range from comfortable Standard Camps with shared facilities to Luxury Camps with private, en-suite bathrooms and high-end amenities.

4.  Weather & Best Time to Visit

  • When is the best time to visit Morocco?

    • The shoulder seasons (Spring: March to May, and Autumn: September to November) offer the most pleasant weather, with warm days perfect for touring.

    • Summer (June-August) is very hot, especially in the desert and interior cities.

    • Winter (December-February) is mild in the south, but can be cold and rainy in the north and mountainous regions (including the High Atlas).
