Day 1: Ouarzazate – Skoura – Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Merzouga

Your Ouarzazate to Fez Desert Tour begins with a morning pickup from your accommodation or Ouarzazate Airport. Meet your professional driver and start travelling toward the Skoura Oasis.

Skoura is known for its extensive palm groves and historic earthen kasbahs. You will have an opportunity to visit Amridil Kasbah, one of the best-preserved kasbahs in Morocco.

The journey continues through Kelaat M’Gouna and the Valley of Roses. This beautiful region is famous for its rosewater, cosmetic products and annual Rose Festival.

Continue through the dramatic Dades Valley, where rocky landscapes, traditional villages and winding roads create remarkable photography opportunities. You will then travel to Todra Gorge, known for its enormous cliffs and narrow canyon.

After time to explore the gorge and enjoy lunch, continue through the desert towns of Tinjdad and Erfoud before reaching Merzouga.

At the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes, meet your camel guide and begin a memorable camel trek across the golden sand. Stop to admire and photograph the sunset before arriving at your desert camp.

Enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner followed by Berber music around the campfire. Spend the night in your private desert tent beneath the Sahara stars.

Day 2: Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Ziz Valley – Midelt – Ifrane – Fez

Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes. After breakfast at the camp, return to Merzouga by camel or 4×4 vehicle, depending on your selected package.

The second part of the Ouarzazate to Fez Desert Tour begins with a drive to Rissani. This historic town is known for its traditional market and its importance as a former trading centre.

Continue to Erfoud, a town famous for fossils, minerals and date production. From Erfoud, the route follows the Ziz Valley, where you can stop at a panoramic viewpoint overlooking palm groves and traditional villages.

Travel through Errachidia and cross the Middle Atlas Mountains toward Midelt. After lunch, continue through mountain scenery and cedar forests. You may see Barbary macaques during a short stop, but visitors should avoid feeding or touching wild animals.

The journey continues through Ifrane, known for its clean streets, alpine-style architecture and cool mountain climate.

Finally, arrive in Fez during the evening. Your driver will drop you off at your hotel, riad or another agreed location, marking the end of your two-day Sahara journey.
