Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Cedars Forest – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Sahara

Your 3-day desert tour from Marrakech begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel or from Fes Airport (FES). Your first stop is Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco” for its alpine-style architecture and crisp mountain air.

You will continue to the Cedars Forest, home to the famous Barbary macaques. The road then leads you to Midelt, nestled between the Middle and High Atlas Mountains, where you will enjoy a delicious Moroccan lunch.

As the journey continues through the stunning Ziz Valley—with its lush palm groves and dramatic rock formations—you will make your way toward the Sahara. By late afternoon, you will arrive in Merzouga, where the endless golden dunes of Erg Chebbi await.

Day 2: Merzouga Sahara – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

Your day begins with a breathtaking sunrise over the dunes, followed by a relaxing breakfast. You will then leave the desert behind and head to Rissani, a historic former capital known for its lively traditional market.

Next, you will visit Erfoud, renowned for its fossil workshops and unique geological treasures. The journey continues to the majestic Todra Gorges, where towering cliffs create a spectacular natural canyon.

In the late afternoon, you will reach the Dades Valley, famous for its dramatic rock formations and picturesque landscapes. You will spend the night in a charming local hotel.

Day 3: Dades Valley – Roses Valley – Palm Groves of Skoura – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

After breakfast, your journey leads through the beautiful Roses Valley, especially vibrant in May during its annual rose festival. You will then cross the serene palm groves of Skoura, dotted with ancient kasbahs.

Your next stop is Ouarzazate, the “Gateway to the Desert,” known for its film studios and cinematic history. From there, you will visit the iconic Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Morocco’s most impressive fortified villages.

The final leg of the journey takes you across the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, offering panoramic views of the High Atlas Mountains, before arriving in Marrakech in the evening—marking the perfect end to an unforgettable Moroccan adventure.
