Day 1: Arrival in Errachidia – Merzouga

Upon arrival at the airport, guests will be collected to commence the journey south toward the Sahara Desert of Merzouga. The evening will feature a complete dinner service, and the night will be spent at a desert camp in Merzouga, fully immersed in the enchanting desert atmosphere.

Day 2: 4×4 Desert Exploration – Camel Trekking – Overnight in Desert Camp

The day begins with breakfast at the camp, followed by a camel trek return to Merzouga village. Subsequently, the day is dedicated to exploring the Merzouga desert, utilizing a 4×4 vehicle to cruise through the dunes. During the exploration, there will be an opportunity to visit a nomadic family residing near the borders of Morocco and Algeria. Following this, the tour proceeds to the village of dark-skinned inhabitants, originally from Sudan, where guests can experience the local Gnaoua music and observe their distinctive lifestyle. In the evening, the group will return to Merzouga to meet the skilled camel guide for a half-hour ride through the captivating Merzouga dunes. Dinner and the overnight stay will take place in a desert camp beneath the clear, starry sky.

Day 3: Merzouga Desert – Todra Gorges – Ait Benhaddou Kasbah – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

Guests are encouraged to rise early to witness the spectacular sunrise over the desert landscape. Following breakfast, the return camel ride to Merzouga will take place, where the driver will be waiting.

The first destination is Rissani, the historical capital of Tafilalet. It remains a significant commercial center, featuring a large market that operates actively on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. The route continues through the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad, leading to the Todra Gorges. These are impressive gorges with towering red walls carved by the Todra River, highly favored by rock climbers. Time will be allocated for lunch, exploration of the gorges, and photography at prominent scenic locations.

Following the Todra Gorges, the journey will continue toward the Dades Valley and the Valley of Roses, before reaching Ouarzazate and the UNESCO World Heritage site, the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou. After a final lunch break, the expedition will ascend into the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tizi-N-Tichka Pass before concluding with the final drop-off in Marrakech.
