2 Days Zagora Desert Tour from Marrakech

Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Ouarzazate – Zagora

Your tour begins with an early departure from Marrakech toward the High Atlas Mountains. Enjoy breathtaking views as you cross the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m), passing traditional Berber villages tucked into the mountainsides.

Your first major stop is the famed Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site and filming location for movies and series such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones. After lunch, continue your journey through the scenic Draa Valley, one of Morocco’s most beautiful palm-filled oases.

Arrive in Zagora in the late afternoon. Here, your camel awaits for a gentle trek across the desert dunes just in time to watch a spectacular Sahara sunset. Enjoy dinner and spend the night in a traditional Berber desert camp.

Day 2: Zagora – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

Start your day with the peaceful beauty of a desert sunrise, followed by breakfast at the camp. After a short camel ride back to your vehicle, begin the return journey to Marrakech.

Stop in Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa,” where you’ll have time to visit the Taourirt Kasbah or the world-famous film studios.

Finally, cross the High Atlas Mountains once more and arrive back in Marrakech, where your driver will drop you off at your hotel or the airport—completing an unforgettable desert escape.
